I use discarded materials to create images and constructions that reflect human existence and survival, both ancient and urban across the world. The work balances the chaos and destruction caused by this society with creativity and playfulness.

I am inspired by the community engagement projects I do with people on the edges of society, children and adults with special needs, people with mental illness and refugee families. I make work exploring the history of creativity and culture, and the basic instinct of young humans to create, play and imagine.

The work focuses on creation and invention borne out of necessity using discarded materials versus the bombardment of material goods aimed at children in Western cultures. It also contains references to different realities existing simultaneously and it is my intention to encourage audiences to draw parallels, make connections and to create narratives.
